Background
Why Ultrasound?
Since its introduction to the medical field in the 1950s, ultrasound has been widely used for its safety and cost-effectiveness. However, in situations demanding precise diagnosis, ultrasound technology has lagged behind other medical diagnostic services like CT and MRI due to its lower resolution.
We have questioned these limitations.
‘Why focus only on enhancing low resolution?’‘Is it impossible to extract information from the ultrasound signal?’
And we thought.
‘Could we improve ultrasound by using AI?’‘What if AI could accurately analyze the detailed structure of tissues?’
After much consideration, as a KAIST research lab-based startup, we focused on our area of expertise and developed the world's first AI-based quantitative ultrasound technology. We are researching all the possibilties that ultrasound offers and are setting a new standard for medical services.
